A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

The small print,
in plain words.

Does David Mode change everything on a page?

It filters accessible webpage text on sites where you grant permission, including new content and open shadow roots. Editable fields and code are left alone. Images, PDFs, canvas, frames, closed shadow roots, and browser-protected pages are outside its coverage.

Can I see the original words?

Yes. Tap or click an underlined replacement to reveal its exact original. Keyboard users can focus a replacement and press Enter or Space. Turn Mode off in its popup to restore the original text. If you disable the entire extension or revoke permission in Safari, reload the page to restore it.

Do I need both apps?

No. David Mode filters profanity across permitted websites. David Reader changes the presentation of supported Reddit pages. They install separately and work independently.

What does the website store?

This site does not save demo text or preferences and has no analytics scripts. The extensions keep preferences locally in your browser. Page text is never persisted or sent for processing. Hosting providers receive ordinary web requests when you visit or download a file.
